Well Well Well

Long time since I have posted on my blog…. Yeah … I might be too lazy. Let me get you up to speed. @ F1Elites we are working hard for our F1e10 mod. The F1 mod we will use for our 2010 Formula 1 season. Our MOD DEVELOPMENT team is working flat out to get right the rules for this year championship. Physics are coming along but the skins and models work still a bit behind. Also, we might perform some test sessions with GP2 cars just to get new teams and new members going. Regarding the endurance league (ILMS-ERL) our F1elites team had a tougth race at last round RattleSnake Point with the leader car of Scott retired very early into the 6 hour event. I race with the US Pits team where my teammate is Jimmi Allison, we had a good race until on my third stint during the night my wheel decided to give away… and in the process almost crashing out of the race. I manage to get the car to Jimmi and he did a marvelous job bringing it to checkered flag. We finished in 3rd in class but due to race participation rule we were pushed back to 5th place. Anyhow it was awesome and we are looking forward for Barcelona.

Mclaren F1 on pace.

After watching Rnd 10 of Formula 1 Calendar. I have a few things I would like to share wit you guys. Mclaren is now the stronger team, I am not aware of any mayor modification or upgrades made to the car but it is the stronger one on the field at the moment. I saw the car potential at British grand prix but I wanted to wait till Hockenheim to confirm that. Lewis Hamilton drive reminds me of the MSchumacher era where no matter what strategy he was on.. the pace was there to win in so dominant fashion. Where is Ferrari? At the same time I have seen the the Scuderia is now on troubled waters. Their car is nowhere near fast to the Mclaren specially in Qualy trim. The guys in Maranello really needs to start waking up cause this championship is so close each round would be very important deciding the 2008 F1 champion.

A somewhat not strong weekend for BMW saw Nick Heidfield posting the fastest lap of the race. The team is not as fast as Mclaren neither Ferrari but surely the fastest lap for Heidfield shows that the car has potential. BMW needs to start improving since is also in a downway trend like Ferrari and they are in second place Constructors …. Mclaren is now closing on them.

And how about Nelson Piquet! Finally a result he can be proud off in order to shrug off some of the pressure the Brazilian was on for the last races in order to perform. His lady luck helped him on his 1 stop strategy calling him on the right moment to not being penalized for fuel on pits while safety car was deployed. Still he maintained leading the pack after some laps proves he is going in the right direction.

A Wild Weekend!

One of most sportier events days in the calendar has passed. If we tally the list we can start with, the Canadian Grand Prix, IRL at Texas, ALMS at Watkins Glen, French Open, NBA finals, Belmost Stakes, Argentina vs USA soccer match and many more. The onslaugh of sport maches was from day to night everyday !!. To end the weekend we at f1elites performed Rnd 8 at Canada. For sure this weekend was a one to remember with the highlight of my drive to 8th place from 12th after a rear right puncture caused by a Super Aguri driver. It wasnt easy cause the competition was hard.

Across the globe COMPUTEX 2008 is near end. The global acclaimed technology showcase was spectacular. Everyear the greatest computer companies gather in Taipei, Taiwan to show to the world their lattest toys, gadgest what ever you wanna call it things that make us go gaga. The highlight of the showcase was the battle between AMD/ATI vs Nvidia graphics card. With the upcoming 4870 and 4850 series ATI is closing in on Nvidia new GTX280 chip (G92b). Both graph cars are improved versions of their popular 3800 series and 8 series respectively. The new so called chips will yield more overclocking potential than their predecessors by using dual PCI-E power connectors giving a big Hooray from Overclockers around the world we are only anticipating one of the greatest seasons of GPU war ever! Of course the point is that we the consumers will win at the end with state of the art graphics cards cheaper.

Finally, F1e is currently cooking 2 new series for our online racers. We hope the new series will give a much needed boost to our site due to the SCC part I ending and the Henri Toivonen Tour finishing this coming weekend.

Rnd 8 – Canadian Grand Prix – F1e

This sunday I will participate on Rnd 8 Canadian Grand Prix at F1Elites.com site. After 2 weeks of testing my team is ready to tackle the ultra fast Gilles Villeneuve Circuit located in Montreal. We must note that we at F1Elites follow real formula 1 calendar so they will also be racing in the real life. To counter this fast circuit we must test different components and configurations that will suit this track. For example, we need bigger brake ducts for the heavy braking areas. We must work on braking stability and also top speed. Last race our team had a retirement and one engine failed. We are gonna try to have a good result. Thanks all and wish me all the luck.

Max Mosley stays in FIA

The current president of the FIA (Federacion International of Automobile) has scaped being oust in a voting session in the FIA goberning body. Max Mosley was uncovered of his participation of a “Nazy style” type of orgy with some prostitues while back ago. With some of the automobile clubs wordwide asking for his resignation today he scaped being outsed in Paris with 103 of 169 votes.

I take this news with lots of sadness. Being a Formula 1 fan for many years I cant understand why and how he got a positive voting. For years Max Mosley have destroyed Formula 1 with many changes that have done anything good to the sport. In 2002 I wrote a letter to FIA announcing his resignation. It seems they dont care I dont understand why. I hope now that the voting results are in we hope it received a backslash from other countries and eventually bring his resignation. Please Max let go the sport nobody wants you so why staying? Let other people chance to improve Formula 1. Your time has come.
